Lizzie Louis answered her call to the ministry in 1995 and was ordained an Evangelist by the Oil of Joy Ministries II, Inc. in Brooklyn, New York. After which, her pastor -- Apostle Patricia A. Wiley -- recommended her to the Blanton-Peale Graduate Institute housed in the New York Theological Seminary, where Lizzie received a full scholarship and completed a two year Pastoral Care Studies Program becoming a Pastoral Care Specialist.

In 2003, while completing her MPA degree, Lizzie became acquainted with Temperament Theology and the National Christian Counselors Association through research. Intrigued with this Bible based, Christ-centered therapeutic counseling disciple that provides actual answers and help for people in need of Christian/Pastoral counseling, Ms. Louis incorporated the NCCA model into her dissertation and began to focus on developing a pastoral care and counseling training program that utilizes Temperament Theology.

Seeing the need for professional Christian/Pastoral counselors, Evangelist Louis moved away from the traditional concept of pulpit ministry and established Sweet Deliverance Pastoral Care & Counseling Training Program housed along side Sweet Deliverance Ministries a/k/a Pouring the Oil in 2006., devoting time and service to couples, families, and individuals, with an emphasis on helping hurting women recover. Ms. Louis then established Pouring the Oil Christian Counseling Center in Danbury Connecticut, where she now lives, as the counseling and training arm of Sweet Deliverance Ministries. The purpose of Pouring the Oil Christian Counseling Center is to help raise up an army of trained Christian counselors and to provide quality counseling services to a hurting world. In 2009 she renamed the center Sweet Deliverance Counseling & Training Program.

In 2009, GOD called Lizzie back to pulpit ministry and in April 2009 she launched Sweet Deliverance Ministries' monthly fellowship called Prophetic Praise. In June 2009 she answered GOD's call again and and started Pouring the Oil the Church; she will be consecrated to the office of the pastorate by Apostle Patricia Ann Wiley in 2010.
